Late June 05:19
Sweat down my neck in late June The letter I left you opened too soon You said it was fine in my bedroom Overgrown baby, aged 22 I got stoned and texted my friend Shaved my legs clean, I think I wept What about all the shit you said? Promises I wish you kept Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? The garden was buzzing with bees Colourful day but grey to me Watched the sun set through the trees Wish you could see what I can see Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore? Don't you love me anymore?

Irene 04:17
Gott engaged at twenty three Young and patient, maybe naive I tell my baby at least once a week You can go first, I'll be fine Being young makes you think of old age And if i could I would take it away And when we're dying I promise I'll stay Until you go in to the light Never left her friends, never left her street Same spot for breakfast every week But they have different plots when you're under six feet Left her wondering why If you share every holiday and stories of youth every road that you’re not used to you do everything together for 20 years how come you don’t when you die? Cause you don’t think about dying on joint Christmas Eve and how did it get to be only me? Married young and stayed that way shared a kitchen and shared a space bicker about what week or what day John married in ‘54 Made the bed and raised the kids wait till they were gone to kiss being in love can be filling a fridge until you grow old Put aside a room in the basement for his tools and unidentified keys and how did it get to be only me? And I’m sure when she was young she told stories more than once and now I don’t notice when I do Now I’m glad to be last so they don’t have to be but how did it get to be only me?

To Be 04:42
It took me a while to find you but that was a long time ago I was a walking contradiction but now you’d never know You’ll eat an entire apple and only leave the stem but when I gave you my honest self you left me whole and showed me who I am It’s never been so clear you helped me rearrange my fear so I’m not scared anymore to be the one you love Now I’m crying at water lillies and you’re calling me honeybee and we’ll always remember Paris as where you first said you’d marry me It’s never been so clear you helped me rearrange my fear so I’m not scared anymore to be the one you love I wanna grow old with you, with you I wanna grow old with you, with you It’s never been so clear you helped me rearrange my fear so I’m not scared anymore to be the one you love no I’m not scared anymore to be the one you love

about

This would not have been possible without a lot of help from a lot of friends. All of these songs were written and recorded over the course of my final year at Humber College. It was unfortunately a stressful process but all of the sweet people I'm lucky to have in my life made it so much more manageable. Thanks to all of you.

These songs are the first I've ever written and been proud of. They're about love and loss and being trans. I sincerely hope that they can bring light to you.

Much love,
Jordan
